March Break!
Please remember to enjoy yourselves as you have some time off from school this week. Be safe, make good choices, and have a restful time so that you are able to come back in April and be ready to get right back into the Brave New World project.
Over the break, try to find some time to review where you are at in the project, check the calendar to make sure you and your group are caught up and ready to get down to business when we return.
You have access to the all of the relevant documents in your Google drive if you are unsure what you could be working on or preparing for.

This will be how the groups are formed.
If you want to prepare for this quiz-game I would recommend you study up on the six systems we will be learning (Digestive, Excretory, Respiratory, Circulatory, Nervous, and Skeletal/Muscular Systems) and remember some anatomy or functions of the various organs, veins, arteries, nerves, and other structures.

PERMISSION FORMS FOR KANANASKIS FIELD TRIP DUE FRIDAY!!!

Water Trip Kananaskis
Our class has the amazing opportunity to go to Kananaskis next week on May 29th to participate in water quality testing in correlation with the Science Grade 8 Fresh and Salt Water Systems unit. They were given forms today to return ASAP to their Science teachers. Please take a look at the letter as it contains really important information about what to bring, expectations, etc.
Important information:
Important information:
- We are departing the school at 9:00 am and returning to school at around 2:30 pm.
- Please ensure that your child has a healthy lunch, snacks, and water for the day. There WILL NOT be any place to purchase food or water and we will be eating our lunches on the bus.
- Weather in the mountains can change very quickly and often is very different from the weather in Calgary.
- It is recommended that students have a warm jacket, gloves, and a hat, sunscreen as well as some clothing for rain.
- Proper footwear is also very important and we also recommended that each student wear rubber boats (or at least some sort of protective footwear) as we will be either “in” or “at the edge” of the Elbow River several times during the day.
Forms must be returned on May 26th latest. We do need a parent volunteer, so if a parent is interested in helping us out and heading out to the mountains for the day please email Mr. Corvino ASAP
Thank you and we can't wait for May 29th!
